I am 36,829 words into Coltain’s story. I currently call it The Heir Who Wasn’t but I think I may change it. If I do, this will be funny to look back at. Coltain’s name was originally something else and Sanelle’s name has changed a couple times as well. Actually Sanelle was Quinn’s name for a while. That’s the fun part of making your own characters is that as you kind of get to know them you realize “oof they are not a Chleo.” In the world of fantasy, weird names are par for the course but I like to try to balance with some more normal names too just to keep it from being toooooo complicated.

Anyyyyyyyyyyyway it is NaNoWriMo (national novel writing month) and the goal is to write 50,000 words. Lawl. I can’t do that. But I have shot for finishing this draft. Another oof that is a tall order, but I have been hoping to finish this book by the start of 2023. So here we go.
